Grand Knight Report September 2020

Brother Knights,

While we are only two month into this fraternal year, we have been busy and we have many plans in place as we go forward. Please read through this entire bulletin as there is some important information below.

Upcoming Events

Our September Membership Meeting will be conducted via zoom. We discussed last month having this meeting in person, but we have decided that due to Lynn being a Coronavirus red zone we will keep this meeting virtual. Login information for this meeting is in the next article.

There will be a My Brothers Table service opportunity on Monday September 14th at 6:00 PM in the lower council hall. We will be preparing bagged lunches and dinners that will be distributed the following day to those in need. Please register online using this link

Our Installation of Officers will take place in person at Holy Family parish on September 20th at 5:00 PM. The installation will consist of a Mass with a modified installation ceremony at the end. This is a free event open to all and members are encouraged to come, but you need to register ahead of time online using this link. Please note that this is a new date from previous schedules.

Every Friday night starting at 6:00 PM the council hall is open and is serving dinner. Weekly menus are posted on our Facebook page. Please come down to have dinner and drinks in support of the council and building association. All city and state safety regulations are to be followed.

The building association has been donating the use of the hall to the Red Cross for blood drives every month. Thank you to all who have donated blood and volunteered at these events. You need to make an appointment on the Red Cross website to donate. This is a good way to support our community during the pandemic.

We ask that all attending in person events wear masks and follow social distancing procedures.

New Members

We have three new members so far this fraternal year. Two joined in an in person ceremony at the hall and one member completed an online degree ceremony. Congratulations to these brother Knights. We have a goal of 20 new members by the end of the fraternal year and it is everyone’s responsibility to help recruit. Please reach out to those you know and forward any leads to me at

Fraternally yours,
GK Matthew Harrington
