The Knights of Columbus are a Catholic Fraternal Benefit Society founded by Blessed Father Michael J. McGivney to help bring Catholic men together in support of one another, to protect Catholic families, and to help Catholic men put their faith into action.
When you join the Knights of Columbus, you become a member of an international fraternity of over two million Catholic men who are striving to put their faith into action.
Locally, in Lynn, you join a council of over 500 members with an 125 year history. We provide social fraternal events ranging from dinners, cookouts, dart leagues, to members nights at the hall. We also run charitable fraternal events such as Bingo where we raise money for charities, events to help prepare food for My Brothers Table, a rosary ride to support Special Olympics MA, and many more events.

Joining the Knights helps enable you and your family to live charitable lives and put the teachings of Christ into practice. The charitable work of the Knights includes both financial charity as well as spending your time and talent at the service of others.
Locally the Lynn Knights financially support our Catholic Parishes, My Brothers Table, Special Olympics MA, and other local charities. We also award over $40,000 in scholarships every year. Our local programs have included children's christmas parties, basketball competitions, meal packing, and so much more.
Additionally, the Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus work to support many other charities. Learn more about the charitable works of the Supreme Council by clicking here.
A key mission of the Knights of Columbus is to serve our families and our parishes. A good Knights Council does not pull members away from their families and their parish. Rather we strive to assist our priests who minister to our parish, and we strive to help men build up the domestic church in their own family.
Since the founding of the Knights of Columbus, insurance programs have been a vital part of its mission to serve and protect its members and their families. However, purchasing insurance is not a requirment for joining the Knights of Columbus.
